When you arrive at the city center of Fethiye, you will encounter the rock tombs carved into the hillsides behind the city. The most magnificent among these rock tombs, which have survived from the ancient Telmessos to the present day, is the Amintas Rock Tomb, built in honor of Hermapias’ son Amintas in the 4th century BC, resembling a temple in the Ionian style. Accessible through nearly 100 steps, it overlooks the sea and the unique Fethiye.
